Day 4: End of July

I can't believe today is the last day of July! It has FLOWN by. Not to mention my lil dolly is now 3 weeks old. Crazy stuff.
Pictures on tonight's blog are from yesterday and today. I have loved today and it's been pretty ordinary :)

Today's positives:

1: Today the kiddo's got up with Grammy which was nice for me because I got an extra 45 minutes of sleep!

2: James took a lovely snugly nap in the papasan chair. He looked like a little bird in a nest.

3: Serenity skyped with Grammy and Great Grandma.

4: Gracie and I went to the grocery store. I must say I feel spoiled to have had 2 Gracie dates in one week! We had a lovely time. Gracie showed me all the nail polish's she liked (which were pretty much any obnoxiously purple ones). Then we sat in the car and talked/listened to the radio for a few minutes cos as Gracie said "need car mookicks Mommy".

5: Serenity had a lovely mid afternoon bath which James "helped" with.

6: We got to skype with Daddy and Serenity especially enjoyed this :)

7: James told me he needed "canyee" which is what he calls candy so I obliged ;)

That's about all for today!

Goodnight all

Day 3: No more monkeys jumping on the bed.

I am posting this a day late so I hope I don't forget anything!

Today's positives:

1: Gracie and I got to go hang out together before her doctors appointment. We went and got a juice and did some coloring and walked around the exchange on base. It was fun!

2: Grammy turned her dining table in to a fort and Gracie and James had a wonderful time playing in it all afternoon.

3: I took both the kids on a walk to the mailbox (which is a pretty good walk for little legs). James didn't love how hot it was but we had a great time splashing in a random puddle in on one of the apartment buildings.

4: Gracie fell asleep on the sofa in a cute little ball.

5: Serenity decided she needed to be held all day yesterday and I decided I don't mind one little bit and I don't think her Grammy does either ;)

Unfortunately I can't remember much else from yesterday which is what you get when you post a day late...
We did find out we are moving though! I will let you know more when I do!

Post later!

Day 2: Two's company, three's a PARTY

OMW today has been busy, a tad long and tiring!

Today's positives:

1: Nobody peed out of their diapers and in their beds last night!!

2: Last night me and James had a lovely snuggle and read a story about 3 little owls :)

3: This morning Serenity got to sleep in while Gracie, James and I got up and started morning hustle and bustle.

4: We a nice trip to the grocery store, where Grammy enjoyed showing off her grand babies. The kiddos were so good I got them a juice bottle with character lids. Gracie wanted "kitty one mama" James - "Want the head one" aka Superman lol.

5: Gracie and I read stories while James took a nap.

6: James and I did puzzles while Gracie took a nap.

7: We got to skype with Great Grandma and Daddy today.

8: I got to bath Serenity tonight which I must admit to quite enjoying. My favorite part is brushing her hair!

9: The kids ate up all their dinner and had seconds. Which is actually more exciting to me than winning the lottery LOL. Sad thing is I'm not joking...

That's it for day two folks.

Goodnight all!

Day 1: Let's start at the very beginning!

Okay, I have caught blog fever again and it seems that, for now at least, life has presented me with the time and energy to make it happen.
I have frequently thought about and missed writing 365 D.P.P so instead of my military wife blog i'm going back to chirping about my kiddos!

Of course we have a whole new addition to our family. We welcome the littlest peanut Serenity Rose Eriks.
She was born at 6.11am July 8th. Weighing 7lbs 3.4 oz and was 18" long. So far she is living up to her name and shaping up to be the easiest of my three little pickles.

 Today's positives:

1: We woke up together this morning and all snuggled up to watch Mickey's Clubhouse. Gracie is quite a fan of this show and not only sings almost the entire theme tune but can do the Minnie Mouse version of the "hotdog" dance. James just jumps around like a snowman made of boulders but I admire his enthusiasm!

2:  Grammy treated the kids to french toast for breakfast which is a household favorite!

3: The kiddos got to Skype with Daddy today.

4: Gracie and I got to have some special one on one time. She chose for us to build blocks. She also surprised me by counting to 4 unprompted!

5: We enjoyed lunch while watching Lilo and Stitch.

6: We had a successful run to Walmart. I say that because we were in and out in under 60 minutes lol. J got to stay home with Grandpa and Gracie got to choose some fabric for some of Grammy's exciting sewing creations coming soon!

7: This is not technically a positive but did cause a bit of a giggle... Grammy made BBQ pork for dinner and Gracie spent a long time shaping it then announced "It's Mickey Mouse" Then she started poking holes in it and popping peas in, to which she explained "Putting in the batteries GanGan" (GanGan is their term for Grammy)

8: It's 7.04pm and all three of my lil darlins are fast asleep and happy. I am one VERY blessed Mama :)

I think that's enough for today!
It feels good to be blogging again. I hope situations allow for me to continue posting!

Goodnight and God bless all
