Florida Nature

Since living in Florida we have encountered so many different cool animals. We've seen dolphins, Blue land Crabs, a Opossum and her babies, an owl, and so many other cool things. I thought it would be fun to make a page to add any of our sitings too. I will leave our last seen critter up until we encounter something new!

Today's Critter Encounter:


A Luna moth landed on our living room window. We took lots of pictures and quickly grabbed my nephews so we could all get a good look at it. Apparently they are an endangered species.
We were told they have no mouths and can't eat anything so they only live for one week. Their soul purpose in life is to procreate then die.
Our Luna moth is a beautiful big male which we can tell due to the antenna and shape of his wings.

I guess google them if you need more info lol. This info was given to me in random facts by various people through out today. :)
