Day 110: Jacksonville

Today has been a very busy day. We had to say goodbye to Grammy as she had to go home. Then we went up to Jacksonville to see Uncle Jeff, Aunty Shay, and Cousins A, G, and L with the Eriks-Buker Clan. The Kiddos had a great time playing together and seeing the Navy Base.

Today's Positives:

1. We had to sleep in the kids room last night and when Gracie noticed we were there she couldn't help but come for a snuggle. The snuggle turned into climb all over and jump on mummy and daddy but it was cute. Gracie also thought I looked lonely I guess because she got her baby doll and put it in my arms and covered us up

2. When we got to Jacksonville all the cousins were playing together, it's great to have family who all get along.

3. Uncle Jeff took us all to the NAS JAX to see some old Navy Jets. Gracie and James had a great time looking at them.

4. Gracie and James were both so good for such a long day. The are troopers.

5. When we got home Gracie went straight to bed clothes and shoes still on. She did let me get her ready for bed but promptly fell asleep.

Well that about sums up our day is has been a very busy, very fun day!

Hope everyone has a goodnight.

Day 81: It's Hammer Time.

Today has been a fun day. The rain let up just long enough for us to go on a walk and we even caught some frogs! It looks like the tropical storm will be hanging around until Saturday so it will be a rainy week which means we get to snuggle up inside :)

Today's Positives:

1: Gracie danced around the living room and went at it so hard she made herself dizzy and could barely stand up. It was absolutely adorable.

2: Gracie ate all her lunch and didn't even put up a fight.

3: While I was feeding Gracie her yogurt James kept eyeballing it so I gave him a little taste and he loved it!

4: We went out and caught frogs for our nephews and we even saw a snake!

5: James and Gracie played blocks together. Every time James dropped his block Gracie would go over and pick it up for him. I love how much my little ones love each other.

6: We had to go to Wal-mart and it was raining so Sophie scooped up James and ran him inside and I followed a little behind with Gracie. The whole way into wal-mart Gracie yelled "Jay-Jay" At the top of her lungs until we finally caught up.

7: I got to hold James while he slept for a while. It's the first time in a very long time that he has slept on me. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Well that about sums up today. It's been a great day with my family :)

Goodnight all.

Day 36: Fuzzy Wuzzy Wuz A Bear

The kids have been feeling much better since their doctors visit yesterday. It has been a very pleasent day.

Today's positives:

1: Gracie found a little bracelet in the bottom of my closet and wore it on her wrist almost all day. She is such a girly girl!

2: Bay and Gracie enjoyed watching a squirrel play on the deck for quite a long time this afternoon. They were both leaning on each other and watching.

3: We went for a walk through the woodie part of the park today.

4: Cousins A and G came over and played for a little while this afternoon. It was nice to hang out before they go away for a few months.

5: Gracie picked up all her toys with almost no help at bed time.

6: We finished off the day by walking up to the guard check to say goodnight to Daddy.

7: I forgot to post yesterday that James had his first taste of chocolate. Matthew decided to give him a quick suck of some cookies and creme... He enjoyed it very much and cried when he was all done.

Well goodnight all

Day 21: Half a week down! Almost the weekend.

Well today was busy. We hung out with Cousins A and G this morning and had fun. Ran errands this afternoon. Then we had yummy roast veggies for dinner, followed by a nice evening stroll with the dog.
Oh and I just want to put out there that, my hands feel super soft from the baby wipes made with baby oil. Thank you Auntie Shay you where totally right!

Today's positives:

1: Cousin A and James had a lovely cuddle this morning (pic below)

2: James and I had a lovely long cuddle this evening after Gracie went to bed, which is unusual because he normally goes to bed first.

3: Gracie climbed up in my lap with her baby doll and snuggled the doll and cuddled in to me. It was kinda special.

4: It was lovely to see all the kids lined up on the sofa this morning enjoying their breakfast and watching "Land before time"... A kids movie I liked when I was their age!

5: When I bathed James tonight, I laid him on his diaper changing mat while I went to go tip out the bath water. When I came back Gracie was drying him off with his towel and mothering him, and she bent down and gave him a big kiss.

I just love how much my babies love each other. I don't think anything could make me happier as mother.

Also, to anyone who reads this, if you could keep my sister in law Elizabeth in your prayers. She is due anytime in the next few weeks and is planning a home birth. Please pray for a quick and easy delivery and for strength. It is much appreciated :)

Goodnight all

-Soph
