Days 11- 15: Aug 15-20th

Having to do the blog a little differently due to time restraints at the moment :)

August 15th's positives:


Today Shannon and the boys came to visit us on the way back from RI!

1: We met at Chili's and it was the first time I had taken all three kids out on my own! We all made it safely across the parking lot and then out came my lovely nephews with open arms and lots of hugs! Aunty Shay was not far behind them :)

2: We sat in in Chili's for a long time. Our poor waitress had to come back several times before we knew what we wanted, because we were so excited to see each other we forgot to look at the menu!

3: It was raining and kinda cold outside so we all came back to Grammy and Grandpa's apartment.

4: All the children had a lovely time playing toys and bouncing around together.

5: Cousins A and G took turns holding baby Serenity and even lil baby Lochlan had a quick pat and kiss :)

It was very sad to see them go but we had a lovely visit and plan to go to Daytona in the next couple of months :)

August 16th Positives:

1: James had his 18-20 month check up. The doctor said he is right on track. He weighs 24 pounds and is  32" tall. He was such a good boy she gave him a little book and a sticker on his way out :)

2: After the doctors we had to run in to the exchange and we stopped for a quick drink and a kitkat.

3: That afternoon it was Gracie's turn to have some one on one time with Mama so I took her to get our nails done. She seemed to have a great time. She picked a color for us (which is neon pink...) then sat in my lap while the lady did our nails. We had such a nice time sitting and chatting. Treasured memory with my precious Gracie.


August 17th

First grocery store run with all three of you on my own! WE MADE IT!!!! That is all that is needed for today...


August 19th Positives:

Today Stacey and Daniel came to visit!

 1: We started our morning by cleaning up and getting ready for Stacey and Daniel to arrive.
James and Gracie helped me pick up toys and helped Grammy pack boxes!

2: Everyone was excited for S and D to arrive!

3: Gracie and James enjoyed playing with them very much. James was especially excited when D threw him in to the air, I think it reminded him of Daddy :)

4: S brought her camera and took some pictures of the babies!

5: After S and D left everyone was super hungry and tired so we ordered pizza and as a treat ate dinner in front of the T.V.

 6: James' quilt from Aunty Sami arrived and he LOVES it!

August 20th's Positives:

1: Today was my 6 week check up so I took Serenity with me and we had fun listening to music on the car ride. It feels very strange to have one very quiet little baby in the back seat and i'm slightly worried I will forget she is there!

2: Today is the day Daddy called us to tell us he finally classed up and should be home in 30 days! It feels AMAZING to know the end is in sight. Soon we will know where our first station is and all be back together. I am so grateful this has only taken 6 months and not a year as originally thought.

3: The doctor says I am all healed up and ready to run around like a crazy lady with you guys :)

4: Gracie's quilt from Auntie Sami arrives and she can't stop smiling :)


Well that's all I can remember off the top of my head! It's been a busy past week.

Day 10: Catch up blog!

So this will be a catch up blog for the past few days :)



August 10th: Serenity smiles for the first time, at Grammy making silly faces.


Aug 10th: Serenity has her first ride in a stroller.


August 12: James gets his first haircut at a proper salon.

August 12-13: Serenity sleeps through the night for the first time :) 9:30pm - 5:30am

Today's positives:

1: We had breakfast in waffle house. The kids LOVED their chocolate chip waffles.

2: James surprised me by counting to 5 a few times today! I have no idea where he learned it lol.

3:  Gracie had her nails painting sparkly purple and informed me she is Minnie Mouse pretending to be Gracie. lol

 4: James fell asleep in his highchair. He was so out he went through a face wash and diaper change without waking

Day 9: Dance Dance

Today's positives:

1: We put awesome dance music on and had a wonderful dance party!

2: Gracie has a kitten book and on one page they have a ball of wool... Gracie told me the kitten is crocheting!

3: Gracie also sat and "read" a book to Serenity, she made sure to show her all of the pictures and James even sat and enjoyed the story. :)

4: I had a great time playing with the kids and their toys. We sat for a long time playing with their eggs.

5: Gracie sat in my lap and we had a pretend tea party. We ate many invisible foods!

6: Serenity laid out on her playmat and enjoyed her big siblings showing her lots of different toys.

7: James fell asleep in his high chair after eating his dinner. It was a very easy bedtime! ;)

Well that was our day!

Days 7 and 8: Grandpa's special birthday suprise!

Day 7: Ripleys aquarium day!

1: We all got up and out the door quickly (for having three babies). Serenity was AWESOME. She didn't cry once on the way to Ripleys!

2: We stopped for lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe. Everyone had giant fat burgers!

3: Gracie and James were fearless and got to pet little sharks and giant crabs! I refuse to let them be scared just cos im a chicken!

4: Gracie saw the tropical reef and started jumping and screaming "MAMA ITS DORI"

5: James picked out 3 little stuffed animal Rays for him and his sisters. Blue pink and purple.

6: Gracie got her picture taken with a mermaid!

7:  Serenity was so easy and sweet and calm all day. She loved being in the Moby and even got some time with Grammy :)



Today's positives:

1: Gracie called Serenity "Squeeks" today.

2: We finished our book!

3: Gracie counted the M&M's on my shirt by herself!

4: James sat on my lap and had a lovely long cuddle with me.

5: We all sat on the bed and Skyped with Daddy.

6: Serenity enjoyed being in the Moby while we vacuumed.

It's been a nice quiet day today :)

Day 6: Not much to blog..

Okay... So today has not been the most fabulous day. Infact its been pretty stinky which is largely due to the fact I have not had enough sleep.

Today's positives:

1: I enjoyed bathing all my children today. There is nothing like clean, sweet smelling cuddles!

2: We read some more of our new owl story.

3: I got lots of kisses today!

4: We had a lovely surprise from Grandma Jo! She has done a beautiful zentangle of the circus for the kiddos. Gracie was most excited about the lion!

5: Serenity really enjoyed watching the rainstick rattle toy Gma Jo sent :)

6: The kids had a blast running around in some silly old glasses Grammy and Grandpa gave them :)

That really is about all for today unfortunately! Tomorrow is Grandpa's birthday surprise so there should be lots of fun things to talk about!

Day 5: Plop the owl

Today is the day that would not end lol. It's not been a very bad day just never ending!


Today's positives:

1: Last night I started reading The Owl Who Was Afraid Of the Dark to the kids. We all snuggled up in the big papasan chair and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. It's special as it's a childhood favorite of mine. This morning when we get up Gracie asked me if we could read more "Owl Story". So it's now part of our bed time routine to read a chapter.

2: When I went to get Serenity this morning she had managed to wriggle like a caterpillar out of her co sleeper and on to the mattress lol. I keep telling her she isn't big enough to be doing things like that! She just looked up at me like she was an athletic genius!

3: Serenity decided to sleep through breakfast time so I got to eat at the table with Gracie and James :)

4: Gracie and James have played so nicely together this afternoon. From what I could tell, Gracie was leading them in a game of "Micky's Clubhouse"... Which involved a lot of "Ohhh toooodles" lol (this is a reference to the show)

5: The kids enjoyed talking to Daddy on the phone :)

6: I have had lovely cuddles off all three of my children today. James especially.

7: Gracie has said please and thank you every time today!

It's time for me to go do some crochet now!

Day 4: End of July

I can't believe today is the last day of July! It has FLOWN by. Not to mention my lil dolly is now 3 weeks old. Crazy stuff.
Pictures on tonight's blog are from yesterday and today. I have loved today and it's been pretty ordinary :)

Today's positives:

1: Today the kiddo's got up with Grammy which was nice for me because I got an extra 45 minutes of sleep!

2: James took a lovely snugly nap in the papasan chair. He looked like a little bird in a nest.

3: Serenity skyped with Grammy and Great Grandma.

4: Gracie and I went to the grocery store. I must say I feel spoiled to have had 2 Gracie dates in one week! We had a lovely time. Gracie showed me all the nail polish's she liked (which were pretty much any obnoxiously purple ones). Then we sat in the car and talked/listened to the radio for a few minutes cos as Gracie said "need car mookicks Mommy".

5: Serenity had a lovely mid afternoon bath which James "helped" with.

6: We got to skype with Daddy and Serenity especially enjoyed this :)

7: James told me he needed "canyee" which is what he calls candy so I obliged ;)
